POST: Defy Damage ProSeries 2: Bond-Strengthening Color Treatment
STEP 1:
Prep and protect the hair with Joico Defy Damage ProSeries 1. Shake the can vigorously then spray in short bursts onto two-inch sections of hair in a downward motion. Comb the hair for even distribution.
STEP 2:
Section the hair into 4 equal quadrants. Apply Formula 1 to the new growth area throughout the head starting in the front.
STEP 3:
Apply Formula 2 to the rest of the hair. Process until the hair reaches a level 9. Shampoo with Defy Damage Protective Shampoo and towel dry.
Tip: check the lift throughout the process. If you need to rinse, shampoo and reapply, do so while checking and maintaining the integrity of the hair.
STEP 4:
Towel dry the hair to remove excess water to get ready for the toning process.
STEP 5:
Section the overcut from the undercut along the parietal ridge. Apply Toner Formula 3 to the entire bottom of the undercut.
STEP 6:
Apply Toner Formula 3 to the overcut in a shadow root application.
STEP 7:
Apply Toner Formula 4 to the rest of the hair. Process for up to 5 minutes or until a pale cool blonde tone is reached. Rinse and shampoo with Blonde Life Violet Shampoo and Conditioner. Dry the hair completely smooth.
Tip: Applying a toner with a bottle applicator allows for quick application.
Connect the sides in the rest of the section by taking a diagonal back parting and cutting to your guideline elevating the hair 90 degrees.
